About Lorien and The Lorien Poem

Lorien is a character based on games and conversations I had with Micheal Trent. Mike was my best friend through high school and my first 2 years of college. He died in a car accident during my 3rd year of college. True to form, it was entirely his own fault.

The poem of Lorien is a large epic which tells of Lorien's rise from a beginning magician to his wrestles with the immortals. His ultimate demise and own immortality are achieved at the climatic finish. His story does not end there but this poem does. It is worth noting that little of this is actually written, but I hope to write it a piece at a time and place it here upon the web site.

I should also mention that I hope to write a prose as well as poetic version.

The general structure of the poem is now believed to be as follows. It will have 25 parts, with 10 cantos per part with the possible exception of part 25.. That is of course a very far piece off right now....(02/06/98 Part II begins..)

02/13/98 After looking at my outline closer It will be 25 parts until the battle of Dagorian and the battle itself will be a separate part probably about as long as 5 parts. But again that is very very far away.
update 5/4/01 part III not yet finished...school sure does take a lot of time.

update 5/17/02 part IV not worked on since August but now that Friday's are again semi-free I hope to resume my labors... but still in school so dont get to excited
